SVEN CARTER & THE TRASHMOUTH EFFECT has an official release date — October 3, 2017! I hope you’re as excited as I am! That’s less than six tiny, little months away. Which means I’ve been busy working on book 2 of the SVEN CARTER series. It turns out writing book 2 is proving even more fun than than writing book one!
So, why am I wearing all those glasses? It’s because for the last few days, I’ve been reviewing the typeset proofread of SVEN 1 — which is just a fancy way of saying I’m looking at a big stack of papers that have lots of scribblings all over them telling me how many typos I made when I wrote the book. It’s kind of like getting a test back from your teacher with a bunch of red marks all over it. There’s no grade attached, but it still doesn’t exactly make you feel like the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Ah, well. At least it means I get to fix all the little mistakes I made when I made all those edits to fix all those other mistakes I made when I wrote the final draft of the book, which was supposed to have fixed all the mistakes I made in my earlier drafts. Yes, it’s just as fun as it sounds!
It’s back to work for me. But now that we’re getting closer to SVEN’s birthday, I’ll be posting here much more frequently. Including a cover reveal that’s coming any day now. Stay tuned for that. And for more exciting news, information and completely stupid yammerings from me in the RobBlog!
